Pandemic Heroes Journey

                                 Call to Adventure/ Refusal to the Call when word about Covid-19 first reached the public, many where quick to dismiss it as "no big deal", and many did not social distance or stay indoors, including myself. Everything changed when someone at the Lynn Valley Care Center lost their life to Covid-19, very close to my school. This made it real for me, I realized that this is real life, and that life isn't always so easy going. Covid-19: A Big Change

Humans are an extremely adaptable species, and that has been made extremely clear by the unfortunate global circumstances we have all been plunged into over the past couple months. The Covid-19 pandemic has effected the way billions of people live their lives, forcing us to make drastic lifestyle changes in order to flatten the curve, such as closing down non-essential services and staying home. Despite being separated, we are as close as ever, with everyone doing their part to put a stop to this pandemic, whether its working as a grocery store clerk, a nurse, or staying home. It can be hard to find meaning in the little things you do in life when your stuck at home with nothing to do and nowhere to go, so its really comforting to see others in your neighborhood trying to brighten up the day of those around them (from a safe distance of course), whether its through making music, chatting over the fence, or drawing with sidewalk chalk.
